I was new to RTT so unsure how I would go.

The session really blew my mind. I can be a bit skeptical about new things but the improvement in my mood and the way I viewed the future was instant. I didn’t have any objections or concerns as such. It was more curiosity on how the process works.

Describe what your experience of RTT session was like?

I was a little nervous at first as I didn’t know what to expect, but as Amanda described the process I could feel myself being a little more at ease with the situation as time went on. The hypnosis part was something I had never really experienced before. I was always under the impression that you do anything anyone tells you to do or say without any control over it. I found myself being totally aware of what was going on at the same as being fully relaxed like I was borderline asleep. When the session was completed, I actually had this feeling of relief and calm over my body. I felt really good and I was hoping this was a positive sign in the steps of the process, and it was.

Amanda gives you the feeling of being comfortable just by being in her presence. From the moment I stepped into her room I felt very welcome. Amanda has a very calming voice and the reassurance she provides through the duration of the session, lets you know that you are safe and in good hands.

What are the main changes you have noticed since having your session?

I feel a lot calmer and don’t tend to sweat the small stuff so much. I don’t get stuck so much in my head where I would find myself stuck in a loop of locking doors or making sure I have done something. I don’t tend to feel as nervous as I did a lot of the time, before having my session. To be honest, as silly as it might sound, I actually feel like I can breathe again, if that makes sense.

How long did it take before you noticed these changes?

I think it may have been about 2 and a half weeks when I noticed some of the changes myself. At first I didn’t know if I was seeing changes that weren’t really there. It wasn’t until my daughter noticed I hadn’t been doing some of my repetitive behaviour that I really had confirmation that the changes were happening.

Would you recommend hypnotherapy with Smiling Hearts & Minds Hypnotherapy to others? Please describe.

I would thoroughly recommend Smiling Hearts & Minds Hypnotherapy to others without a doubt. Are there any other comments you’d like to add about your experience with Smiling Hearts & Minds Hypnotherapy?

The only thing I would like to add is if you have any hesitations on trying this, don’t. Just take the plunge and give it a try. Trust in the process and you may by be pleasantly surprised where it takes you and how much better you can feel just from giving it a try. What do you have to lose.

Anxiety & OCD

I’ve noticed I’m not continuously checking doors are locked, or the alarm is set over and over. Those looping behaviours are stopping. If it does come to mind, I just tell myself that I’ve already done it and move on. I sleep through the night and if I wake up, I feel calm and not in a panic like I used to. I also notice I’m not getting triggered so much by other people and can just let things go, instead of chewing it over and over in my mind.”
