  5. Seek Support: This is vital. Struggling on your own and not asking for help can make your situation feel 10 times worse. Whether it’s talking to a trusted friend, family member, or seeking professional help, opening up about your feelings can provide immediate relief, just by sharing the load with someone who can really listen and support you. Surround yourself with a supportive network of people who understand what you’re going through and can offer the right kind of guidance and encouragement
  6. Prioritise Self-Care: Self-care is essential for managing anxiety and maintaining your overall well-being. Make time for activities that nourish your body, mind, and soul, whether it’s taking a relaxing bath, practicing meditation, or indulging in your favourite hobbies, as well as prioritising sleep. Remember that self-care isn’t selfish – it’s necessary for your mental health and happiness and everyone else will benefit from you taking care of yourself too.
  7. Challenge Negative Thoughts: Anxiety often stems from negative thinking patterns that distort reality and fuel fear and worry. Challenge these negative thoughts by questioning if they are actually true and replacing them with more balanced and realistic perspectives. Remind yourself of your strengths, accomplishments, and past successes to boost your confidence and self-esteem by writing them down. You can do this as a daily or weekly practice – what were my wins from today? It doesn’t matter how small they may seem now, every small step is a step closer to becoming a more relaxed, calm and confident version of you. So just keep going even when you have the inevitable set-backs that we all do.
